Climbing Amadablam is technically demanding as it requires ice, rock, scrambling, clear views, great approach and the great base camp in the meadow with river. This expedition offers fabulous and technical climbing experience in the Khumbu region. This region is just above the Thyangboche monastery on the way to Everest base camp. Six highest peaks of the world are clearly visible from the summit. The peaks are Mt. Lhotse Shar, Mt. Makalu , Mt. Cho – Oyu, and Mt. Everest , and also close view of Nuptse, Baruntse and Pumari. This expedition was first attempted by an Anglo American and New Zealand team in 1961.
We ascend this peak through the conventional south west ridge route and it involves pure rock climbing. The last part of the summit involves ice climbing and it is followed by long steep snow slope. This requires 3500m fixed rope and three camps above the base camp due to the technical nature if the route. This climb is supposed to be completed in less than four weeks. However, we separate few extra days for unexpected bad weather.
We are in camp 1 now. From this camp, you have to cross the rocky bowl and you need to climb in the ridge through the fixed lines to camp 2. after crossing camp2, you cross several rocks and ridges that ultimate leads you towards the
The climbing route in the second camp is steeper with rock, ice and snow. This route leads you towards the slope climbing and snow ground and then it passes through the steep snow and ice tunnel. It finally leads towards the camp 3 through the snow ridges.
From this point, it is quit steep climb on snow and ice to the right side of the hanging glaciers. You see the charming scenes of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Island peak, Makalu, Khumbu Himalayan and rest of the snowcapped surrounded mountains through the top of the Mt. Ama Dablam.
Everest 8848m, Lhotse 8516m, Makalu I 8463m, Makalu II 7660m, Peak 38- 7591m, Pumori, Lhotse Shar 8410m, Barunste 7145m, Chamlan 7319m, Kanchanjung 8586m, Jannu Himal 7710m & More attractive snow caped peaks etc.

I was trekking on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in November 2007 together with two friends. It was wonderful getting to know rural Nepal and experiencing the enchanting scenery of the mountains. Ngima Sherpa was our trekking guide. It was his great enthusiasm that made our trip an unforgettable experience! He was reliable, perfectly organised and did far more than the necessary "guiding job": for example getting up in the early hours to run before us to secure accomodation, providing a girl we met on the trek with equipment when her shoes became broken or recommending accomodation in Karthmandu. The daily parts of the trek were well organized with enough time for breaks and to accomodate to the altitude.
