Annapurna Base Camp TrekAnnapurna base camp trekking is more separate than any other treks by its variety of people, their rich culture, beautiful landscape and natural scenery. This trek is also the introduction to higher altitude without being too demanding. Annapurna Foothills treks and expedition has in-depth experience in organizing trekking in the Annapurna region for a long time. We see the sense of complete satisfaction on the face of our clients when they depart back to their respective country. First few days, we travel through the village and lush forest before reaching more barren and rugged terrain. The Annapurna base camp trek threads up the valley into the sanctuary where it gradually gives way to a gray screen and scrub before reaching snow fields, there are no villages to speak for five days. We stay for an hour there and then commence to continue the trek. In the trail, you have a chance to have beautiful views of many peaks such as Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchhre /fishtail.

Annapurna base camp trek begins from Dhampus, which is 45 minutes’s scenic drive from Pokhara with some fabulous views of Annapurna south and fish tail en the route. The journey to base camp follows the valley in between the huge ramparts of Himchuli & Machhapuchhre, eventually emerging into an awesome Amphitheater, where a labyrinth of mountains and Annapurna I tower almost vertically above us. At the final destination the Annapurna Base camp 4130m will be welcoming you patiently.

Client Reviews

I was trekking on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in November 2007 together with two friends. It was wonderful getting to know rural Nepal and experiencing the enchanting scenery of the mountains. Ngima Sherpa was our trekking guide. It was his great enthusiasm that made our trip an unforgettable experience! He was reliable, perfectly organised and did far more than the necessary "guiding job": for example getting up in the early hours to run before us to secure accomodation, providing a girl we met on the trek with equipment when her shoes became broken or recommending accomodation in Karthmandu. The daily parts of the trek were well organized with enough time for breaks and to accomodate to the altitude.
