This is four day’s lodge and tea house trekking in Nepal. It is perhaps the best preliminary trek for the travelers looking for the easy trekking in Nepal while staying at comfortable family-run lodges at each step. Gurung is one of the ethnic community are the local inhabitants and they have earned the world recognition of fearless and loyal Gorkha soldiers in British and Indian armies. This hike takes you through the terraced hillsides, charming slate-roofed houses. This is also one of the well known short treks in Nepal. It is like a family trek and even the younger children can join and enjoy.

Trip day to day itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience. As you fly, the panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range greets your sight. After the completion of Visa formalities, you have to come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building. Please look at your Printed Name and Our Company Signboard Annapurna Foothills Treks & Exp and follow them. Meet our representative and then you will be transferred to hotel. You will be served free welcome drinks, tea or coffee or juice at the time of check in.

The Managing Director or The Manager of company will meet you in hotel and will brief about the trip. You should clear your dues before we proceed for the trip. You are free to relax or explore around the city in the very first day.

Day 02: Sight seeing Kathmandu AM: Guided visit of Kathmandu City and Swayambhunath.

Day 03 Kathmandu to Pokhara: Early in the morning, transfer to pokhara bus station & drive seven hours to Pokhara, check in at hotel and evening Phew lake exploration.

Day 04: Trek Pokhara-Dhampus (1650 m) After breakfast, we take 45 minutes drive to Suikhet Phedi (1130m), where our trekking crews will be waiting for us. Then we start the trek ascending the trial, from here the path diverts and climbs the ridge above the Yangri Stream and reaches the village of Astam at the top of the ridge. Follow the ridge west through the Henjakot & reach to Dhampus, from here one can have a closer view of Mt. Machhapuchre & Annapurna South. Over night stay lodge.

Day 05: Dhampus-Landrunk (1646 m) we start the trek & ascend up for an hour through the dense forest of Rhododendron & Orchid to a Pass at 2160 m then descend gradually for another an hour to reach Ghatte Khola for lunch. Then continue the slope downhill to Landrung. . Over night stay at lodge.

Day 06: Landrunk - Ghandruk(1940 m) After steep climbing to reach a huge Gurung village Ghandruk at 1940m is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal and explores the maze like streets of this thriving Gurung settlement, You can have a good view of Annapurna south, Hinchuli, and Fisthail.

Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara: Trek to Nayapul (1010 meters) and drive to Pokhara.
Today, we are going to end our trek at Nayapul after a short drive back to Pokhara. We stay overnight stay at hotel with breakfast included.

Day 08: Pokhara city tour. Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning after breakfast. Places we visit are Fewa Lake , Devi’s water fall, Museum, Tibetan refugee settlement and Gupteshower cave. You will have relaxing time in the afternoon. We stay overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu Early morning, transfer to pokhara tourist bus station for driving back to Kathmandu and it takes around 6 hours, check in Hotel in Kathmandu , overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10: Kathmandu city tour. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Departure your destination. Transfer to international airport for your final departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal

I was trekking on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in November 2007 together with two friends. It was wonderful getting to know rural Nepal and experiencing the enchanting scenery of the mountains. Ngima Sherpa was our trekking guide. It was his great enthusiasm that made our trip an unforgettable experience! He was reliable, perfectly organised and did far more than the necessary "guiding job": for example getting up in the early hours to run before us to secure accomodation, providing a girl we met on the trek with equipment when her shoes became broken or recommending accomodation in Karthmandu. The daily parts of the trek were well organized with enough time for breaks and to accomodate to the altitude.
