
There are two main treks in Everest area, Solu and Khumbu. Solu is less traveled than khumbu. Khumbu trekking is one of the busiest trekking routes in the world. There are few trekking routes recently found where you can enjoy the culture of Sherpa people. Sherpa Culture Trekking is area is below the Numbur himal.
Junbesi is one of most beautiful Sherpa village located on the way to Solukhumbu district. It holds religious importance as well. Sherpa Culture Trekking can see a big monastery there which is believed to be built in 16th century. Three big statues have been placed inside the monastery. The statues are of Amitabha Budha, Awalokyshwar and Guru Padma Sambwa. Local people celebrate Dhumji festival for four days in this monastery. This festival falls in the first week of April every year.
There are three Buddha stupas in this village. One is situated at the south of village and second one is situated in the midst of the village. The third one is situated inside the monastery. It reveals a very interesting story.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu: Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience. As you fly, the panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range greets your sight. After the completion of Visa formalities, you have to come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building. Please look at your Printed Name and Our Company Signboard Annapurna Foothills Treks & Exp and follow them. Meet our representative and then you will be transferred to hotel. You will be served free welcome drinks, tea or coffee or juice at the time of check in.
The Managing Director or The Manager of company will meet you in hotel and will brief about the trip. You should clear your dues before we proceed for the trip. You are free to relax or explore around the city in the very first day.
Day 02: Sight seeing Kathmandu
AM: Guided visit of Kathmandu City and Swayambhunath.

Day 03: Fly Kathmandu to Phaplu and trekking around Phaplu, Salleri and Chilsa (2500m) We fly on a twin-engine Otter to the Himalayan foothills where we begin our trek into the High Solu area. The sights from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing in the village of Phaplu , we meet the rest of our staff and porters. The Phaplu is small airstrip in Solukhumbu; we start very few treks from Phaplu it takes 35 minute by plane. When you get down from plane, you can see excellent view of Sherpa town and Numbur/Khatang/Kerolung. See the local market in Salleri and visit local monasteries. Visit Chilsa monastery. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Junbesi ( 2675m) The Trekking trail follows Beni through a pine tree, River bank and alive with birds. As large numbers of Sherpa people live in Solukhumbu, therefore it is popularly known as Sherpa village Junebesi. We stay overnight at guesthouse. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 05: Trekking around Thubten Chholing monasatry and rest day at Junbesi The High solu Trekking begins with Rest day at Junbesi and hang around or visit Thubten Chholing Monastery known as Nunnery Monastery on two hours side trip after 3 days harassing working, Observe wildlife and vegetation on the way. Visit Thuptenchholing monastery. Observe traditional Tibetan medicinal therapy at Thuptenchholing. Visit Phunmoche monastery and meditation cave, We stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Phurtung ( 2900m) Today the Sherpa culture trekking enters just below the stupa, cross the bridge over the Junbesi Khola. Take the downstream path following the signs to Namche. A little further on, at a Y junction, follow the left hand uphill path to Namche. to Phurtung (2900m.) which takes approximately 2 hours. The beginning of your trek is gently ascent for Phurtung (2900m.). From this place, you could see first view of Mount Everest including Thamserku (6623m.), Kantega (6780m.), Kusum Kangaru (6370m.) and Mera Peak (6650m.) We stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Ringmu ( 2600m) This Trek joines the High Solu Trek to the Phaplu Everest Base Camp Trekking, continue along the level path towards the north east. After 30 minutes, pass a small village, Salung, with at least two lodges reach a prayer wall marking the village boundary - here the path starts to gently descend.
After about an hour, the path rounds a corner, and to the north is a magnificent view of Numbur 6,959 metres, at the head of the Dudhkund Khola valley. A little further on is a teahouse with an even better view - a great place for a break with its abundant fruit orchards. We are Seeing Sherpa settlement on the way. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
Day 08: Trekking around Ringmu hiking Kamo dalda and Taksindu la (2600m) Your trek is immediately; your trail is steeply up for one and half hours to the Taksindu La Pass (3100m.). From this point, you could see excellent mountain views. Thamserku (6623m.), Kantega (6780m.), Kusum Kangaru (6370m.) and Mera Peak (6650m.) There is an old Monastery for visiting and come back to Ringmu. Pass the Taksindu Monastery (4 hours). Taksindu Monastery was founded in 1946 by Lama Chuldim of Tengboche. He was joined by other monks living in remote parts of Khumbu, who wished to return to live in Solu, nearer to their home villages. Like the other monasteries in the region, it is a Nyingma Pa 'Red Hat' Buddhist monastery. A little lower is the Mountain View Lodge, run by the monastery.

Day 09: Trek to Phaplu (2300m) Ringmu – Phaplu Walk through mixed alpine forests. Experience wildlife and birdwatching. See Sherpa settlement.See wildlife and vegetation. Watch cultural show which will be performed on request. (Trekking) Phaplu. We stay overnight at guest house.
Day 10: Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu (2300m) Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu
Day 11: Sight seeing in kathmandu After breakfast, our city guide reaches in Hotel with Vehicles, and then we drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square . Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum . Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple , Datatriya temple, exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal . And Patan is located 7 km away from Kathmandu , this city has many 15th to 17th century, Hindu and Buddhist, monuments built during the Malla dynasty. The most important area with many monuments is the Patan Durbar Square . Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 12: Kathmandu – departure Transfer to international airport for your final departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal

I was trekking on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in November 2007 together with two friends. It was wonderful getting to know rural Nepal and experiencing the enchanting scenery of the mountains. Ngima Sherpa was our trekking guide. It was his great enthusiasm that made our trip an unforgettable experience! He was reliable, perfectly organised and did far more than the necessary "guiding job": for example getting up in the early hours to run before us to secure accomodation, providing a girl we met on the trek with equipment when her shoes became broken or recommending accomodation in Karthmandu. The daily parts of the trek were well organized with enough time for breaks and to accomodate to the altitude.
