The best view point trek of the world

Am I looking good enough? A client taking a short nap in front of the Mt. Everest Mt Everest and Ama Dablam view from Tengbuche Beautiful Sherpa village Khumjung

The best view point trek of the world is one of the most adventurous trekking trail in Everest Region. Crossing Renjo La pass trekking offers eye catching views of Everest Himalayan range, including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (5816m), Mt. Maklau (8463m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m) , Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7145m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m) and other mountain peaks.

The trekking route passes through small yak-grazing settlements through Gokyo lake and gradual ascent up the valley passes through the patches of birch and rhododendron forest. The Renjo la Pass trekking route is off the usual beaten track. At the pass, a great view of the Gokyo lakes on one side, the Rermo Pokhari lakes on the other side, and a numerous of snowy peaks are in the background, which provide as incredible atmosphere.

The best view point trek of the worldSherpa means "Easterner" and refers to an ethnic group that migrated to the Everest region from eastern Tibet some 450 years ago. But in modern times it has also come to mean any porter, climber or trek leader -- jobs Sherpas have been doing for about 80 years.

Traditionally, Sherpas have grown potatoes and raised yak for dairy products, hides, wool and load carrying. Working at altitude (Khumbu villages are at about 13,000 feet) has long been part of their way of life, but apart from a few sacred mountains, the peaks towering over them were not of much interest.

With the opening of Nepal in the 1950s, the number of Sherpas working in mountaineering increased, and the arrival in the 1970s of large-scale trekking made climbing and trekking pillars of their economy. From the first British Everest expedition in 1921, Sherpa strength, honesty and dedication have made them ideal companions on the mountain. Every Everest expedition since then has relied on Sherpa support. Many Sherpas have summited and many more have lost their lives.

International visitors to the Everest region have lasting effects on Sherpa culture. Sherpas sometimes emulate Western fashions and the mountaineering gear they receive from expeditions is state-of-the-art. In turn, many foreigners have been deeply touched by the Sherpa’s commitment to spiritual concerns and the compassion and wisdom that Tibetan Buddhism brings to their lifestyle.

Client Reviews

I was trekking on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in November 2007 together with two friends. It was wonderful getting to know rural Nepal and experiencing the enchanting scenery of the mountains. Ngima Sherpa was our trekking guide. It was his great enthusiasm that made our trip an unforgettable experience! He was reliable, perfectly organised and did far more than the necessary "guiding job": for example getting up in the early hours to run before us to secure accomodation, providing a girl we met on the trek with equipment when her shoes became broken or recommending accomodation in Karthmandu. The daily parts of the trek were well organized with enough time for breaks and to accomodate to the altitude.
