From the valley numerous trekking routs ascend to the Annapurna Sanctuary, a huge basin in the senator of the Annapurna Range or up the Kali Gandaki Valley to Muktinath or Mustang. The Annapurna circuit trek takes a long and strenuous route around the north side of the Annapurna Range via the Thorong La addition to longer treks, there are also excellent short all seasons treks in the Pokhara area.
